- Anaerobic Zone
A type of exercise intensity that can be used to build heart and lung capacity, where the body burns calories mostly from carbohydrates and not fat.
At a heart rate 80% to 90% of maximum, 15% of calories burned are fats, 1% are protein and 85% are carbohydrate.
Well, that applies to exercise. Another anaerobic zone is inside your sleeping bag when you have breathed up all the air and have to stick your nose out into the cold to get more oxygen from the aerobic zone, which is everywhere else.
