- Bog Ridge
A ridge of peat moss supporting shrubs or trees, often lying atop a meshwork of sedges.
These ridges are narrow, usually with a long axis lying across any slope, and may form net-like patterns.
OK, the Germans say "Strange", the Swedes say "Strangar", the Finns say "Pounu", and of course the French know it as "Laniere". It's all bogs all the time.
