- Double-Track Trail
A trail wide enough for two users to travel side by side or pass by each other without having to yield.
Often on old roads.
Double-track trails are usually found right outside of campgrounds or near parking lots. They quietly narrow down the farther you get from one of those features, until they get narrow enough to scare off the day hikers and Sunday strollers. By then, you're getting close to backpacking country.
